[2024-03-26] Chinese medical team returned to Príncipe with help with medicines and free consultations

From March 18 to 21, 2024, the 18th Chinese Medical Team went to Príncipe to provide free clinical consultations for four days. The Dr. Manuel Quaresma Dias Da Graça Hospital received a donation of essential medicines, namely anti-hypertensive, anti-hyperglycemic, antibiotics, painkillers, anti-inflammatories, digestive enzymes, hemorrhoid ointments and other medicines and medical supplies.

The population flocked to the Manuel Quaresma Dias da Graça hospital. “After seeing the patients who had made an appointment, many others who couldn’t get an appointment asked the Chinese doctors to work overtime to see them,” revealed the head of the Chinese medical mission, Zhang Ming.

The spirit of solidarity and brotherhood that characterizes the Chinese medical mission spoke louder. “The Chinese medical specialists insist on treating all the patients who arrive at the hospital. And so they did. Even so, after finishing their daily work, some patients went to the hotels where the medical team was staying to seek clinical help,” Zhang Ming said.
