[2024-03-25] Angolan floating oil unit being installed in China

The Angola Floating Production, Storage and Transfer Unit (FPSO) called ‘Agogo’, under construction in China, is in the process of installing the first modules and connecting the electrical system for the residential area.

This was confirmed on March 20 in that Asian country, during a visit by an Angolan delegation led by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, according to a press release to which ANGOP had access.

The Angolan minister considered the oil platform to be a catalyst to help the country stabilize national production.

For the minister, the construction of this infrastructure will reinforce the two states’ commitment to broadening cooperation, demonstrating the mutual commitment of both countries to the economic and social development of the Angolan and Chinese people.
