Representatives of 17 companies in Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries took part in the Portuguese-speaking Countries Products Promotion and Business Matching Session in the south-western Chinese city of Chengdu from 10 to 13 August 2017. They also had the opportunity to conduct business negotiations during†the event.
The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) organised the event.
Nearly 70 business negotiation sessions were held during the course of the event. Similar promotional events had been held before in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Jiangmen, Zhongshan and Zhuhai.
During the Portuguese-speaking Countries Products Promotion in Chengdu, the companies exhibited examples of the food they produce, showed how to make Portuguese-style appetisers, provided wine tasting, auctioned some of their merchandise, arranged games and put on performances of music from Portuguese-speaking Countries.
The exhibitors got their message across to over 20,000 people. A†further such event took place in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou in September.
