IPIM Holds Seminar on Ethical Leadership

In order to heighten staff’s ethical awareness for appropriate exercise of duty and to comply with the administration of the Macao SAR Government, IPIM invited the Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) of Macao to hold the Seminar on Ethical Leadership on 22 January.

The keynote speaker was the representative of CCAC, and the participants included IPIM’s Executive Director Gloria Ung, managers, frontline staff and new staff. The CCAC representative introduced the main function of CCAC and the law-abiding consciousness to the participants. He also elaborated on the laws and regulations, as well as the obligations and rules that are applicable to public servants. In addition, actual bribery cases of public departments that happened in the past were brought in for in-depth analysis so as to further increase participants’ alertness during the performance of duty.

IPIM’s Executive Director Gloria Ung expressed her confidence that this seminar would deepen staff’s understanding and reinforce their ethical awareness, which would enable IPIM to better align with the ethical principle and synergise with the administration of Macao SAR. In the future, similar activities will continue to maintain a corruption-free society.
