SEMINAR ON “HOW TO ACQUIRE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHT PROTECTION IN MAINLAND CHINA” FOR MACAO SMES
The Seminar on “How to Acquire Intellectual Property Right Protection in Mainland China” for Macao SMEs was held on 20 July. The event, organised by IPIM in co-operation with Macao Economic Services and the Representative Office in Hong Kong and Macao of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, was attended by more than 90 guests.
A speech was given by IPIM’s Executive Director Gloria Ung and the moderator of the seminar was Head of Intellectual Property Department of Macao Economic Services Cheang Hio Man. Speakers such as Patent Attorney of China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. Ma Yongli and Trademark Attorney of China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. Wan Kit analysed different cases and discussed with participants the various issues relating to the registration of intellectual property rights and practical protection issues. Other topics covered were the procedures and strategy for trademark registration, as well as patent infringement litigation and business dispute resolution, aiming to assist Macao enterprises in going global.
