“EAST TIMOR – SOWING THE SEED FOR YOUR PROSPEROUS FUTURE” PROMOTIONAL SEMINAR

Co-organised by IPIM and the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese- speaking Countries (Macao), the “East Timor – Sowing the Seed for Your Prosperous Future” Promotional Seminar was held on 15 June. The event attracted over 50 representatives from trade and economic organisations involving in local trade, real estate, lawyer service and logistics industries.

IPIM’s Executive Director Gloria Ung gave a speech at the event. The guest speaker, East Timor’s representative to the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), Danilo Henriques, promoted the investment environment and business opportunities in East Timor and introduced the one-stop service for setting up company in East Timor as well as the taxation incentive measures. The representative of NTM Industries Unipessoal Lda, Subhas Mishrah, representative of CRA Timor Advogados in Macao, Goncalo Neves Lestro, and the representative of Ngai Tin Enterprise-Chelsea, Chan Kuok Sang were invited to share their experience in importing products from East Timor and investing in the country. It enabled the participants to have more understanding of East Timor and seek business openings, with the objective of promoting trade and economic co-operation and development between the two.

“GUINEA BISSAU: THE PLATFORM FOR EXPLORING THE MARKET IN WEST AFRICA” PROMOTIONAL SEMINAR

The “Guinea Bissau: the Platform for Exploring the Market in West Africa” Promotional Seminar, co-organised by IPIM and the Permanent Secretariat to the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), was held on 30 June. The event was participated by more than 40 representatives from trade and economic organisations engaging in local trade, food and beverage, as well as logistics industries.

IPIM’s Executive Director Gloria Ung gave a speech at the event. The guest speaker, the Co-ordinator of the Liaison Of ce and Representative of Guinea-Bissau to Permanent Secretariat to the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), Malam Becker Camará promoted the investment environment and business opportunities in Guinea Bissau and introduced the development of local infrastructure facilities, agriculture, shery, tourism and mining industries which provided Chinese enterprises the business opportunities for international development and investment in West Africa. The Honorary Consul of Guinea-Bissau in Macau, Chairman of Excelente International Group Ltd, John Lo Seng Chung and the Executive Director of Perfection Company Limited Sandy Chan were invited to share their experience in importing products from Guinea Bissau and investing in the country, to enable the participants to have more understanding of the country and seek business openings.
