More than 200 kilometres of roads are being rehabilitated in the province of Kwanza-Norte, the Minister of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing, Carlos Alberto dos Santos, announced on 3 April in Dondo (Cambambe).

In this section, he added, the prospect is that 45 kilometres will be paved by December, up to the municipal seat of Banga, so that by mid-2025 the contract will be completed,” he said.

He also announced that the provincial government is analysing a proposal to launch a public tender for work on the Uiangombe/Quiculungo direct access, as an alternative route with simpler solutions.

The minister also mentioned the asphalting work on the 36-kilometre stretch between Cambondo (Golungo Alto) and Quilombo dos Dembos (Ngonguembo), which he expected to be finished by June 2025. The work is being carried out by the China Tiesiju Enginnering Group CO Limitada (CTCE) company.
