“Macao Week in Jiangsu” Held in Nanjing

Organised by the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, the “Macao Week in Jiangsu” was held at Confucius Temple Pedestrian Zone, Nanjing from 14 to 17 May. IPIM organised an MICE delegation of 20 members and arranged 23 Made-in-Macao and Macao Brands companies, as well as Macao agents of Portuguese-speaking Countries to join the “Macao Week in Jiangsu”. In addition, IPIM also held the “Jiangsu-Macao Tourism and MICE Promotion Session” and the “Nanjing-Macao Business Matching Session”

During the “Macao Week in Jiangsu”, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and IPIM organised the “Jiangsu-Macao Tourism and MICE Promotion Session”, in which around 120 travel agents and MICE professionals from Jiangsu and Macao participated. The two organisers introduced the audience to the advantages of Macao’s tourism and MICE industries, as well as Macao’s presence as a safe travel destination. Participants from both places had a chance to exchange ideas at the event. The inauguration ceremony of “Macao Week in Jiangsu – Macao Authentic Delicacy Festival” was also held at the event.

In order to strengthen the co-operation and exchange between enterprises from Jiangsu and Macao, IPIM worked in hands with the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Commerce and the Nanjing Federation of Industry and Commerce, held the “Nanjing-Macao Business Matching Session” on the first day of the “Macao Week in Jiangsu”. More than 90 entrepreneurs took part in 90 matching sessions, reinforcing the co-operation between enterprises from both places and expanding market.

At the business matching session, IPIM’s representatives introduced the participants to Macao’s investment environment and its advantages, including IPIM’s services – Investor’s “One-stop Service” and the China-PSC Business Compass. Product showcasing and tasting were offered by Macao companies on-site. In addition, consultation service was also offered via video calls on-site for participants to ask questions about running business in Macao.
