opening ceremony of Zhejiang – Macao Economic Exchange Networking Session cum Zhejiang Exports Online Trade Fair (Macao – Consumer Goods)

Organised by the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, supported by IPIM, the Opening Ceremony of “Zhejiang – Macao Economic Exchange Networking Session and Zhejiang Exports Online Trade Fair (Macao – Consumer Goods)” was held on 9 March. The Fair gathered 40 outstanding enterprises from Zhejiang to exhibit some of the products that represent their region including their designs, consumer goods, home appliances. The purposes of the Fair is to link enterprises from Zhejian and Macao, create opportunities for mutually beneficial co-operation.

President of IPIM Benson Lau Wai Meng, Vice President of the Macau Delegation of the Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry Carlos Cid Álvares, and Director General of the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province Sheng Qiuping delivered speech at the event.

In addition, the delegation of Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province visited IPIM on 8 March and met with IPIM’s leaders. During their visit, IPIM introduced the delegation to Macao’s economic overview. Both parties also discussed reinforcement of Zhejiang-Macao collaboration in financial sector, service industry, tourism industry, economic field and other areas, as well as the establishment of a product exhibition centre in Zhejiang.
