On 31 July, Mr Patrick Liu and Mr Andrew W Scott, Chairman and Vice Chairman of Australian Chamber of Commerce Macau visited IPIM and met with Mr Benson Lau Wai Meng, President of IPIM.

At the meeting, President Patrick Liu thanked IPIM for its continued support. He introduced the concept and development direction of his chamber, some of the events it previously held and development plans for 2020 and 2021. He said that the chamber’s focuses are intensifying the economic and industrial connection between Macao and Australia, helping Australian enterprises look for co-operation and investment opportunities with Macao members and non-members.

President Benson Lau Wai Meng said that IPIM, as a department designated by the Macao SAR Government to promote external trade, investment, MICE activities, and commercial collaboration between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, has been deepening Macao’s economic co-operation with various regions at home and abroad. IPIM also holds different business matching activities and MICE events to motivate networking and exchange among these regions. President Lau gave an introduction of the Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF), which will be held in October, and invited the chamber to join the event and expand their market with the help of Macao’s platform.
