IPIM “MICE Trade Shows Support Program” 2020 Is Open for Application

In order to encourage Macao tourism and MICE industries to participate in trade shows at home and abroad, to assist Macao’s industry to develop in both local and overseas markets, and to strengthen the international exchange and co-operation of the MICE industry of Macao, through the “Support Program”, IPIM successfully helped Macao MICE enterprises to conduct over 3,000 business matching sessions from January to December 2019. The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) continues to implement “MICE Trade Shows Support Program” (hereinafter referred to as “Support Program”) in 2020.

To join the “Support Program”, the following requirements must be met:
– The applying entity must engage in businesses related to tourism or MICE industry, and is legally registered in Macao (e.g. travel agency, PR companies and MICE companies).
– For multiple companies with over 50% of shares held by the same (group of) person(s), and multiple companies in different names established by the same enterpriser, double submission for joining the “Support Program” for partaking in the same trade show will not be accepted, with the exception of independent companies that run separately in different business categories. Only companies engaging in businesses that are considered beneficial to development of Macao’s MICE industry will be eligible.
– Each participating entity is considered a unit for the calculation of the amount of financial support.
– Each participating entity is required to submit the “Registration Form for MICE Trade Shows” before deadline. Participating entities are responsible for their hotel accommodation, round-trip air tickets, local transportation and relevant arrangements.
– Each participating entity is required to submit a full set of “MICE Trade Shows Support Program” Post Trade Show Report within 10 days after completion of each trade show.
