General Administration of Customs Visits Portuguese-speaking Countries Food Products Exhibition Centre

IPIM’s President Irene Va Kuan Lau introduces the General Administration of Customs

The Customs Commissioner-General Ni Yuefeng and the delegation visited Macao in mid-June. During their visit, they met with the Chief Executive of Macao and signed co-operation agreements with relevant Macao government departments on food security, animal and plant quarantine, entry and exit inspection. On 18 June, the delegation visited IPIM’s Portuguese-speaking Countries Food Products Exhibition Centre.

Accompanied by IPIM’s President Irene Va Kuan Lau and Senior Manager of the Lusophone Markets Economic and Trade Promotion Department Antonio Lei, Customs Commissioner-General Mr Ni Yuefeng and the delegation visited the Portuguese-speaking Countries Food Products Exhibition Centre and were introduced to the Centre’s operation and the latest economic developments of eight Portuguese-speaking Countries (PSC) and Macao. During their visit, Ni Yuefeng exchanged insights into PSC food products with Irene Va Kuan Lau.

According to IPIM’s President, IPIM will continue maintaining close connection with the General Administration of Customs and relevant departments in order to deepened diversified co-operation, assist Macao enterprises in utilizing the city’s China-PSC platform and CEPA’s preferential measures, expanding their markets on the mainland and seizing major opportunities arising from the “Belt and Road” Initiative and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as joining the country’s momentum.
