IPIM Organises PSCs and Macao Enterprisers Delegations to GBA Cities

Enterprises attending in the Zhongshan-PSC Trade and Investment Promotion Seminar are satisfied by the results of their participation

After IPIM hosted the 23rd Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (23rd MIF) and the 2018 Portuguese Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao) (2018 PLPEX) with success, IPIM organised a delegation composed of nearly 60 enterprisers from Portuguese-speaking Countries (PSCs) and Macao to visit two of the Greater Bay Area cities – Zhongshan and Shenzhen – on 21 to 23 October.

The delegates came various industries including tourism, cultural and creative industry, trading, law, catering sector and logistics. The three-day mission allowed the participants to visit the projects set up at the Zhongshan Huoju International Convention & Exhibition Centre by the Macao Young Entrepreneur Incubation Centre, the Enterprise Exhibition Experience Hall of China Merchant Port and the cultural and tourism comprehensive trading area in Shenzhen. The delegation also visited some of the Shenzhen technology companies and attended the Zhongshan-PSC Trade and Investment Promotion Seminar, and the Macao-Shenzhen-PSC Enterprises Matching Session.

At the Zhongshan-PSC Trade and Investment Promotion Seminar, which was hosted by the Parafuturo de Macau Investment and Development Limited under the guidance of the Bureau of Commerce of Zhongshan City and IPIM, the Deputy Director of the Bureau of Commerce of Zhongshan City Zhang Junfeng and other government officials were invited to introduce the latest economic developments. At the Macao-Shenzhen-PSC Enterprises Matching Session, which was jointly organised by IPIM, the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province and the Economy, Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, government officials including the Deputy Chairperson of the Economy, Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality Li Danmei and the Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipality Jiang Likun were invited to introduce the advantages of Shenzhen’s investment environment. At the event, an agreement between a Macao association and a Shenzhen technology company on jointly building the Portuguese-speaking Countries Product Exhibition Centre was signed.

In addition, the well-received matching sessions were held for the delegation and local enterprises at both the Promotion Seminar and the Matching Session.
