[2019-11-01] Chinese airlines operate 90 Embraer 190 aircraft

Five Chinese airlines operate 90 Embraer 190 aircraft, about one-sixth of the 565 aircraft of this model built and already delivered by the Brazilian aeronautical company, according to a statement on the company’s activity in the third quarter of 2019.

The airlines in question are China Southern, which operates 20 aircraft of this model, Guizhou/Colourful with nine, Hainan with 50, Hebei with six and KunPeng with five.

The statement from Embraer said Hainan operates 20 Embraer 195 aircraft and that the Commercial and Industrial Bank of China has ordered 10 Embraer 190-E2 aircraft and has yet to receive any.

The company delivered 44 aircraft during the third quarter of 2019, of which 17 were in the commercial aviation segment and 27 in the executive segment, including 15 light and 12 large aircraft.

Most of the aircraft delivered to the commercial aviation segment was the Embraer 175 model, with 13 units, and in the executive aviation segment the most popular model the Phenom 300 model with 14 units.

Embraer has delivered 117 aircraft since the beginning of the year, 54 for commercial aviation and 63 for business aviation, with the Embraer 175 accounting for 45 units and the Phenom 300 for 30 units.

Also in the third quarter, the company delivered the first E195-E2 aircraft to AerCap, the world’s largest aircraft leasing company, and Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras, which is launching this model.
