These arrangements serve to enhance the top down management of the IIICF. Secondly, the IIICF and Macao’s role as the “Commercial and Trade Co-operation Service Platform” have generated synergy. The Belt and Road Infrastructure Development Index (2019) and the Annual Report on the Belt and Road Infrastructure Development Index (2019) released this year, wherein adds the data of Chinese enterprises’ participation in PSC infrastructure development, provide professional references for the international infrastructure sector to evaluate the prospect and opportunities of China-PSC infrastructure collaboration. Thirdly, the IIICF boosted the development of key areas and co-operation with third-party by building matching platform. A number of activities, together with exhibitions and business meetings took place during the two-day event, among which included “China-LAC Infrastructure Cooperation towards Quality and Sustainable Development” and “New Prospect of China-LAC Infrastructure Cooperation”. These activities aimed at expanding room for infrastructure collaboration between China and Latin America and Caribbean regions, nurturing an innovative collaboration model for both sides and enhancing the level of co-operation.

Fang Qiuchen concluded that this year’s IIICF has five characteristics: firstly, the IIICF focuses on hot topics and latest trends of the industry, effectively pushing international infrastructure collaboration forward to achieve “high quality and sustainable” development; secondly, the IIICF gathers infrastructure elites from all over the world, which has laid solid foundation for international infrastructure co-operation in the future; thirdly, the content design is effective, which is conducive to mutual benefit, industrial collaboration and multi-disciplinary co-operation; fourthly, the release of authoritative, cutting edge and up-to-date research outcome can provide guidance for enterprises to transform or upgrade themselves, enabling the sustainable development of the sector; fifthly, Macao’s elements are highlighted, allowing Macao’s deep participation in the “Belt and Road” and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay development.
