To assist Macao enterprises to make the most of the opportunities from the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (hereinafter referred to as the GBA) and the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Co-operation Zone in Hengqin (hereinafter referred to as “the Co-operation Zone”), IPIM has worked in co-operation with the Guangdong Administration for Market Regulation and the Commercial Services Bureau of the Co-operation Zone in Hengqin, to co-organise the Seminar on “Commericial Registration Policy for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Co-operation Zone in Hengqin” in Macao on 10 March. During the session, the representatives from the local business associations were introduced to the policies and information recently released in relation to business registration in the Co-operation Zone, namely the “Regulations on the Administration of Market Entities Registration of the People’s Republic of China” (“Regulations”), which came into effect since March this year, as well as the specific requirements and procedures for business registration in the Co-operation Zone. Over 40 participants attended the session, including members of the organising entities and representatives from over ten Macao business associations.

During the session, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Administration for Market Regulation Zhang Wenxian, Executive Director of IPIM Vincent U, and Acting Director of the Commercial Services Bureau of the Co-operation Zone in Hengqin Wu Chuangwei delivered keynote speeches.

IPIM aims to facilitate business registration for Macao enterprises wishing to set up business and investment in the nine cities of the GBA and the Co-operation Zone, as well as providing investment consultation and referral services to assist Macao enterprises to expand their market.
