IPIM and UM Jointly Organise a Sharing Session on Doing Business in Portuguese-speaking Countries

IPIM and the Chinese-Portuguese Bilingual Teaching and Training Centre (an institute of the Department of Portuguese, Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Macau) jointly organised a Sharing Session on doing business in Portuguese-speaking Countries on 9 March. In the event, professionals from the industry were invited to share their experiences with nearly 70 participants from UM, to give more information about Macao’s role as Commercial and Trade Co-operation Service Platform between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries (PSC). It also aimed to encourage university students in Macao to take advantage of the China-PSC platform to actively engage in relevant industries, unleashing their potentials.

Executive Director of IPIM Sam C. S. Lei, Vice-President of the Bank of China Macau Branch Cai Chunyan, General Manager of People and Winds Company Limited and Chairman of Commercial Association of Zhuhai-Macao Cross-Border Import, Export and Retail Industry Sam Zhong went to the UM Campus to share about Macao’s advantages as a China-PSC platform, and their insights into engaging in China-PSC business and business related to China-PSC trade, as well as presenting views on the future business environment. Moreover, IPIM took this opportunity to introduce the UM students to the website “Economic & Trade Cooperation and Human Resources Portal between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries” and encouraged them to keep updated to the latest information and development opportunities in China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.
