IPIM Holds Promotional Seminars to Introduce Business Advantages of Macao and the Intensive Co-operation Zone to Enterprises in PSCs

To further promote Macao as the “Commercial and Trade Co-operation Service Platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries”, IPIM held two promotional seminars on 12 November to introduce the business advantages of Macao and the investment environment of the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Co-operation Zone in Hengqin (Intensive Co-operation Zone) to Brazilian and local Portuguese-speaking Countries (PSCs)’ business associations through online and offline channels. The two seminars attracted approximately 80 representatives of business associations and enterprises.

The “Promotional Seminar on Guangdong-Macao Intensive Co-operation Zone in Hengqin” jointly held by IPIM and the Economic Development Bureau and the Commercial Services Bureau of the Intensive Co-operation Zone on 12 November attracted the participation of nearly 60 representatives of PSC business associations in Macao and local agents of PSC products. During the seminar, not only IPIM representatives gave an introduction about the services and support provided by IPIM for enterprises running businesses in China, but representatives from the Economic Development Bureau and the Commercial Services Bureau also elaborated on the investment environment of and commercial registration procedures in the Intensive Co-operation Zone.

On the same night, around 20 representatives from Brazilian business associations and enterprises participated in the “Join Macao, Seize PSCs Opportunities” Online Investor Presentation Session to further learn about the investment environment in Macao and the Intensive Co-operation Zone and the professional services and support that Macao can provide as a Sino-Lusophone platform in fields such as finance and legal services, in the hope of seizing opportunities from the development of China and PSCs together.

The “Join Macao, Seize PSCs Opportunities” Online Investor Presentation Session is co-organised by IPIM, the Economic Development Bureau of the Intensive Co-operation Zone, Macau Association of Banks, Macao Lawyers Association and China-Portuguese Speaking Countries Investment Management Company Limited with the support from the China-Portuguese-Speaking Countries Federation of Entrepreneurs and the Federation of Foreign Trade Chambers (Federação das Câmaras de Comércio Exterior) based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
