Renowned Figure in Financial Sector Rupert Hoogewerf Leads Mainland Entrepreneurs to Explore Business Opportunities in Macao

On 28 April, President of the 21st Century Baifu Academy and Founder of the Hurun Report Rupert Hoogewerf, led a group of 60 entrepreneur representatives from various industries, such as comprehensive healthcare, finance, science and technology, culture, energy and e-commerce, to visit IPIM in a bid to learn about the business environment in Macao, and the city’s latest economic and trade policies.

During the visit, President of IPIM Benson Lau Wai Meng shared the business advantages and preferential economic and trade policies Macao offers and discussed investment opportunities with Mr Rupert Hoogewerf. Executive Director Vincent U and Manager of the Investment Promotion Division Ray Chao of IPIM, gave an introduction of Macao’s business environment, preferential economic and trade policies, latest developments of industries, Investor’s “One-stop Service”, company incorporation procedures, and business licence application. Entrepreneur representatives actively raised questions during the exchange session.

An Investor’s “One-stop Service” information counter was set on-site to facilitate exchange with the participating entrepreneurs, answer their questions about investment in Macao, and further introduce the One-stop Service and administrative procedures for running a business in Macao.
