International Lusophone Markets Business Association visits IPIM

On 6 July, the Representatives of International Lusophone Markets Business Association (hereafter referred to as “the Association”) led by Mr Eduardo Ambrósio, Executive Committee Chairman and met with Mr Benson Lau Wai Meng, President of IPIM.

President Benson Lau Wai Meng said, the meeting enabled them to learn about the development of the member enterprises of the Association in Macao and the Mainland, promoting business co-operation among Macao, the Mainland and Portuguese-speaking Countries and establishing better exchanges. The collaboration can especially integrate projects of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Hengqin Island development, improving the development of Macao as the Commercial and Trade Co-operation Service Platform between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries.

In the meeting, Chairman Eduardo Ambrósio stated that this year the Association will focus on deepening the co-operation projects of “Macao International Trade and Investment Fair” (MIF) and “Portuguese Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition” (PLPEX). Due to the impact of the Novel coronavirus pneumonia, he said that he believed there would be changes in the form of the exhibition and conference. Therefore, they would follow the latest trends and continue to maintain close contact with enterprises from Portuguese-speaking Countries and the Mainland. He also introduced the members of the new leadership structure, representatives of the committee and supervisors, and the business of the Association members.
