IPIM Organises “Macao Ideas, Join & Match” Business-matching Showcase

With the support of the Guangdong Cross-Border E-Commerce Association (GDCBEA), IPIM successfully held the “Macao Ideas, Join & Match” Business-matching Showcase on 5 September. The event was held with the expectation of enhancing the visibility of “Made in Macao” products, “Macao Brand” products and “Designed in Macao” items, in order to strengthen business exchanges and to help local enterprises enter new markets, particularly those of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Greater Bay Area). A total of 20 member enterprises of the Macao Products Display Centre (known as “Macao Ideas”) participated in the Business-matching Session, and more than 100 e-commerce and business representatives also took part. An aggregate of 74 business-matching sessions was arranged during the event.

Mr Vincent U, Executive Director of IPIM delivered a speech at the event. The Showcase included a segment to introduce branded products to the event participants, and negotiation meetings regarding the products were also arranged. The branded products featured represented the wide range of products that are displayed at the Macao Ideas, such as food and beverages, cultural and creative design items, products for everyday use, accessories, props for performances of stage magic, and health supplements.

The organisers also arranged product promotional activities, allowing members of the Macao Ideas to introduce their products to visitors via food tastings and interactive sessions. Representatives of the E-commerce sector and enterprises from Guangdong and Macao, as well as enterprises of the “Macao Ideas” were invited to exchange views on topics related to how to introduce products to E-commerce platforms; cross-border logistics; customs declaration procedures and quantity of the products procured.
Participants in the event were also able to register with IPIM’s Online Business Matching Service Platform in order to prearrange meetings with interested parties, as well as schedule and make on-site appointments. Local and overseas delegates were able to take advantage of IPIM’s convenient business-matching services.
