Seminar of IPIM and HKTDC
In order to motivate the economic exchange between Hong Kong and Macao, the Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) Margaret Fong led a delegation of around 60 members to visit Macao on 22 June. IPIM’s President Irene Va Kuan Lau met with the delegation to pushing forward economic and trade co-operation, as well as close communication between the two places.
To jointly construct different co-operation parks as proposed in the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and intensify economic co-operation, IPIM’s President and the delegation visited the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Co-operation between Guangdong and Macao on Hengqin Island in Zhuhai, in a bid to deepen the understanding of the value of Chinese medicine. Afterwards, representatives of Macao and Hong Kong took part in a seminar at the Macao Tower and strengthen the partnership between them.
At the seminar, Senior Manager of the Lusophone Markets Economic and Trade Promotion Department Antonio Lei introduced the participants to the functions of IPIM, advantages of Macao’s China-PSC platform, investment environment and the latest developments of Macao’s economy.
Other participants included IPIM’s Executive Directors Sam Lei and Agostinho Vong Vai Lon.
