Swearing-in Ceremony of the President of ipim Irene Va Kuan Lau

Secretary for Economy and Finance Leong Vai Tac administers the Swearing-in Ceremony of the President of IPIM Irene Va Kuan Lau

Mrs Irene Va Kuan Lau was appointed as IPIM’s President on 28 May. At the Swearing-in Ceremony, the Secretary for Economy and Finance Leong Vai Tac swore in the president, witnessed by Chief of Office of Secretariat for Economy and Finance Teng Nga Kan. The ceremony was joined by leaders and managers of different departments affiliated to the Secretariat for Economy and Finance.

Secretary Leong Vai Tac said that Mrs Irene Va Kuan Lau joined the Government in 1981 and the IPIM in 1994. She demonstrates loyalty, perseverance and passion during her service, and has made outstanding contribution to the nurture of local convention and exhibition industry, promotion of external trade and motivation of foreign investments.

President Irene Va Kuan Lau said that IPIM will pro-actively fulfill its duty with determination, and continue providing services for Macao industries, local and overseas investors, with the aim to push forward economic and trade co-operation between Macao, Mainland China, Portuguese-speaking Countries and other regions.
