Opening ceremony of “Dynamic Macao Business and Trade Fair – 30th Station: Guangzhou”

Dynamic Macao Business and Trade Fair – 30^th Station: Guangzhou was held at the venue of the China Import and Export Fair from 9 to 11 May. Nearly 300 Macao commercial delegates and exhibitors were organised to take part in this event. The Fair offered promotion seminars, business meetings, inspection and exchange programmes, exhibitions and performances, with a view to intensify the collaboration with the mainland.

During the event, IPIM and the Commercial Bureau of Yunfu Municipality signed a memorandum of understanding on jointly participating in economic co-operation (hereinafter referred to as the “co-operation MoU”), aiming at complementing each other with their own advantages in geographic locations, resources and industries, and reinforcing the economic collaboration between the two places.

At the protocol signing ceremony, IPIM’s Acting President Irene Va Kuan Lau and Director of the Commercial Bureau of Yunfu Municipality  Chen Jinjin signed the co-operation MoU. The signing was witnessed by Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macao SAR Government Leong Vai Tac, Director-General of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the MSAR Liu Bin, Deputy Director of the Economic Affairs Department and Person in-charge of the Trade Office of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the MSAR Li Huaying, Secretary of the Yunfu Municipality and Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Huang Han Biao, Undersecretary and Mayor of Yunfu Municipality Wang Sheng, and Yunfu Municipal Committee of the CPPCC Huang Dahui.
