Macao Delegation Attends 12th Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Co-operation and Development Forum and Trade Fair in Guangzhou

IPIM organised nearly 30 delegates to attend the 12^th Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Co-operation and Development Forum and Trade Fair in Guangzhou from 4 to 6 September.

The event featured the theme Sharing the GBA Opportunities for Innovative Development. The opening ceremony was followed by a dialogue session and sub-forums. At the dialogue session themed by GBA-PPRD Innovation Enables Synergy, the leader of Macao delegation and the Secretary for Economy and Finance of Macao SAR Leong Vai Tak delivered speeches. Afterwards, three sub-forums took place, which were Dialogue I: Smart Linkage – Science Bay Area, Dialogue II: Era of Opening – Culture Bay Area, Dialogue III: Innovative Entrepreneurship – Talent Bay Area, where Wu Zhiliang, the President of Administrative Committee of the Macao Foundation and simultaneously an expert of historical culture, and Pang Chuan, Vice President of Macau University Science and Technology were invited to be speakers.

The members of the Macao delegation included IPIM’s Executive Director Sam Lei – secretary-general of the delegation, many CPPCC standing committees and committees from Guangdong province, and representatives of economic and trade sector, e-commerce, science and technology, traditional Chinese medicine, cultural and creative sectors, as well as chambers of commerce.
