2018 Business Fair for Guangdong Hong Kong Economic, Technology and Trade Cooperation Held in Hong Kong

Jointly organised by the Guangdong Provincial People’s Government and the Hong Kong SAR Government, and Jointly co-ordinated by the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province and the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR, the 2018 Business Fair for Guangdong Hong Kong Economic, Technology and Trade Cooperation was held in Hong Kong on 12 July. The Opening Ceremony was officiated by the Director-General of Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province Zheng Jianrong and participated by guests including the Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Qiu Hong, the Vice-Governor of Guangdong Provincial People’s Government Ouyang Weimin and the Financial Secretary of Hong Kong SAR Government Paul Chan Mo-po, the latter two of whom respectively delivered speeches at the event. The Fair attracted the participation of more than 600 representatives from the political and commercial sectors of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. Executive Director of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute Agostinho Vong Vai Lon led a delegation to partake in the activity.
