The Committee for the Development of Conventions and Exhibitions (CDCE) held its second ordinary plenary session on 14 December 2017. Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macao SAR and Chairman of CDCE, Leong Vai Tac, chaired the meeting.
At the meeting, Secretary Leong concluded that Macao’s MICE industry’s development strategy of giving “priority to conventions” in 2017 has started to yield results. The agenda included: briefing on the latest developments in the operation of the Macao MICE Portal, promoting community economic development through conventions and exhibitions, and “One-Stop Service” for MICE Bidding and Support.
In addition, the abstract of the “A Study on the Development Blueprint of the MICE Industry” completed by the Macao Research Centre Co. Ltd. has been uploaded on to IPIM’s official website and the Macao MICE Portal. The study will provide Macao’s convention and exhibition industry and society with reference and practical advice.
