SIM Coffee Factory Established in Macao
SIM, a Portuguese funded coffee factory established in Macao in the Zhuhai-Macau Cross Border Industrial Zone in 2005, covers an area of more than 2,100 square metres with the infrastruture investment amounting to MOP 25 million. The huge factory has a warehouse, management offices, coffee-production areas, product testing and sales departments.
SIM’s major markets now include Hong Kong, Macao and the Mainland, with exports of roasted coffee beans and blended coffee powder.
During the start-up process of SIM Macao Factory, IPIM gave valuable advice and assistance and helped the company deal with the various government agencies during the licence application process, which was equally important for the company’s network in the industrial sector.
SIM was determined to become the most modern coffee factory in Asia and to do that it needed a huge area of land to build its brand-new facilities, so they chose the Zhuhai-Macau Cross-border Industrial
Zone.
