[2020-02-24] Arena group publishes schedule of Angolan fairs for 2020

The Luanda/Bengo Special Economic Zone (SEZ) from 2021, will have a new fair venue, with an area of 40,000 square metres, a project budgeted at 13.315 billion kwanzas (US$26.7 million), said the sales director of the Arena Group.

Manuel Novais, who was speaking at the presentation session of the fair calendar for 2020, also said that the future exhibition area will have the capacity to accommodate tens of thousands of people, including exhibitors and visitors, in comfortable conditions (air conditioning throughout the facilities).

The director, quoted by the Angop news agency, said that new fairs in 2020 included the first edition of Expo Namibe, from 25 to 28 March.

“Expo Namibe will be part of the Festival of the Sea, which will allow both commercial and industrial companies to participate in the event,” he said.

This year there will also be the 7th edition of food industry fair Alimentícia (from 13 to 16 May, in Luanda Bay), the 10th edition of the International Fair of Benguela – FIB (from 27 to 30 May, at the Ombaka Stadium), the 7th edition of the Angola Environment Fair (from 5 to 8 June, Luanda Bay) and the 5th edition of Expo Indústria (from 23 to 26 October in the Special Economic Zone – SEZ).

The calendar also lists the 36th edition of the Luanda International Fair (Filda) (14 to 18 July in the SEZ), the 17th edition of Projekta (from 23 to 26 November in the SEZ), the 2nd edition of entrepreneurial fair Cidade do Empreendedor (from 14 to 17 October, in Luanda Bay) and the 2nd edition of the Angola Furniture and Wood Industries Fair – FIMMA (from 29 April to 2 May, in Luanda Bay).
