[2020-02-20] Chinese air carriers include 90 aircraft from Brazil’s Embraer in their fleets

Brazilian aeronautical company Embraer will have to deliver the 10 195-E2 aircraft ordered by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China to have sold 100 aircraft to companies and airlines from China, according to figures for 2019.

In 2019 Embraer delivered a total of 198 jet aircraft, 89 of which in the commercial segment and the remaining 109 in the executive aviation segment.

In the commercial segment the highlight was the E175, of which the company delivered 67 units and in the executive jet segment, the highlight was the Phenom 300, of which 51 aircraft were delivered.

The company said in a statement issued in São José dos Campos, state of São Paulo, that the number of aircraft delivered in 2019 was an increase of 9% compared with deliveries in 2018, when it delivered 181 jet aircraft.

The airline from China which ordered and received the largest number of aircraft of the Embraer was Hainan Airlines, with 50 E190 and 20 E195 aircraft.

This was followed by China Southern Airlines with 20 and E190, Guizhou/Colorful with nine E190 and Kunpeng Airlines with five E190.

The Embraer E175 is the Brazilian company’s most popular aircraft, which to date has produced 634 units of this model of the 815 firm orders received.
