[2023/07/22] IPIM Holds Two Sharing Sessions to Expand Mainland Market for Portuguese-Speaking Countries Products on E-Commerce Platform

The mainland e-commerce seller Fu Tenglong and the education We-Media host Xia Jiujiu were invited to attend the two sharing sessions respectively and deliver speeches on the application value, user ecology and community operation logic of RED – a mainland social e-commerce platform with over 200 million active users; and how to use topic selection and soft writing skills to increase views (CTR) and conversion rate (CVR) to achieve a successful brand marketing, so as to help enterprises better promote and sell the PSCs products in the mainland market in a more effective manner.

The “2023 Let’s Hang Out-Lusophone and Macao Products Bazaar” (at Albergue), held during the Labour Day holiday, concluded successfully last weekend. The event attracted people to visit the St. Lazarus Parish, an area full of Portuguese culture and architecture, through a series of activities such as exhibitions and sales, singing and dancing performances, handicraft workshops and interactive games. The three-day event (28-30 April) attracted more than 10,000 visitors to the bazaar, many of whom were visitors interested in Portuguese-speaking countries’ products and Macao’s specialties. In addition to purchasing products on site, visitors also asked for information of online and offline sales channels. Exhibitors were pleased with the number of visitors and sales performance.

The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Commerce teamed up to launch the “Business Matching Sessions for Portuguese-speaking Countries’ Wine (Chengdu Station)” yesterday (13 April) at the 108th China Food & Drinks Fair (CFDF). This event successfully assists Macao enterprises in expanding the wine market in southwest China by leveraging Macao’s role as a distribution centre of Portuguese-speaking Countries’ food products.

The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Hubei Provincial Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) jointly organised the “Business Matching Sessions for Wine of Portuguese-speaking Countries (Wuhan Station)” yesterday (31 March). A total of more than 30 representatives of Hubei and Macao enterprises participated and XX business matching and negotiations sessions were facilitated, covering trade, catering, supermarket, and other industries.

In order to promote Macao and Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Co-operation Zone in Hengqin to overseas markets and to leverage the function of Macao’s China-Portuguese-speaking countries platform, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Portugal-China Young Entrepreneurs Association (AJEPC) jointly organised the “Join Macao, Seize PSCs Opportunities” Online Investor Presentation Session on 23 February. The event was held online and offline in both Macao and Portugal, during which representatives from the Economic Development Bureau of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Co-operation Zone in Hengqin made a themed presentation. The event attracted over 30 enterprises.
[2023/01/18] Pavilion of China-PSC Platform Promotes PSC Products through Live Streaming and Smart Vending Machines

To help enterprises grasp the opportunities arising from the China-PSC Platform through online and offline means and expand market, the Pavilion of China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform continues to diversify e-commerce and sales. Right before the Chinese New Year, the Pavilion held a “PSC Products Live Streaming Sale of The Economic & Trade Co-operation and Human Resources Portal between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries” on 18 January, which was the second live streaming event within two months after the Pavilion opened to the general public. The stream recorded over 56 thousands views. In the meantime, smart vending machines selling Portuguese-speaking countries products have been installed in the Pavilion to give more sales options.

The “Macao as Platform – Connecting China and Portuguese-speaking Countries” Forum and Business Matching Session was held today (6 November) by the Ministry of Commerce of China and Macao Special Administrative Region Government. The event included theme forums, discussion sessions and on-site matching sessions. Over 100 government and business representatives from the Mainland and Macao.

To reinforce commercial and trade co-operation and exchange among enterprises from Macao and Chongqing, and to introduce Chongqing businesspeople to the investment environment of Macao, Guangdong-Macao Intensive Co-operation Zone in Hengqin and Portuguese-speaking countries (PSCs), as well as highlighting Macao’s advantages in hosting events, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) joined hands with the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce to hold the “Chongqing-Macao-PSCs MICE, Commerce, Trade and Investment Presentation Session” today (3 December), which attracted participation of 70 enterprise representatives and 68 business matching sessions were arranged, covering supermarket business, wine trade, product retail and wholesale, hotel, food and beverage, e-commerce, cultural tourism, convention and exhibition.
