The 2026 Portuguese Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao) (2026PLPEX) will be held from 21 to 24 October 2026 (Wednesday to Saturday) at the Cotai Expo, The Venetian Macao. With the theme “Macao: The Global Hub of Business Convergence”, the event will showcase distinctive industries, products, and services from nine Portuguese-speaking countries (PSCs). Through the exhibition, business matching sessions, and professional forums, the event will give full play to Macao’s unique role as a Commerce and Trade Co-operation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries and thus promote economic and trade exchanges and industrial matching between China and PSCs.
Five exhibition zones unveiled to strengthen China-PSC industrial matching and co-operation
Spanning approximately 8,000 square metres, the 2026PLPEX will comprise five exhibition zones on cross-border e-commerce, agriculture, the blue economy, food and beverages, and professional services. The Cross-Border E-Commerce Zone will offer a gateway for enterprises looking to enter the Chinese mainland market or expand into PSCs by integrating resources such as e-commerce platforms, cross-border logistics, and marketing. Meanwhile, premium agricultural products and related resources from PSCs will be on display in the Agricultural Industry Zone, where business matching sessions will be held in conjunction with the concurrent China-Portuguese Speaking Countries International Agricultural Expo to facilitate exchange and co-operation. The Blue Economy Zone will focus on marine technology and the development of related industries, exploring the potential for cross-national industrial collaboration, while the Portuguese-Speaking Countries Products Sales Area will feature a Tasting Lounge and an Experience Zone, combining business procurement with cultural immersion. The Professional Service Zone will bring together service providers from Macao and Hengqin to assist PSC enterprises in establishing a presence in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
A collection of fine agricultural and food products from PSCs with diverse activities at PLPEX to foster co-operation
PSCs span vast territories with diverse climates, giving them a competitive edge in producing speciality agricultural and sideline products such as coffee and wine. The 2026PLPEX will therefore gather quality brands, including a Brazilian speciality coffee brand with over 140 years of history and a Brazilian cachaça brand with nearly 80 years of brewing heritage, from this major global region for agricultural production and export.
The event will also feature a diverse range of themed activities, including the G100 x 2026PLPEX Most Promising Portuguese-Speaking Countries Wines and Spirits Award and the 2026 Portuguese-Speaking Countries Coffee Bean Competition and Award Ceremony. In addition, three dedicated business matching sessions will be arranged, revolving around the agricultural industry chain, wines from PSCs, and the coffee industry. These sessions will combine tasting experiences with substantive business negotiations, helping premium agricultural and food products from PSCs expand into the GBA and mainland consumer markets.
