Yang Zhenyu graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1989. He started his business in 1993, founding Taoyuan Biotechnology and Kangdao Biotechnology. In 1999, he founded the China Internet Group, and in 2001, he founded the Global Views Media Group. In 2011, he founded the Pegasus Brigade Group and served as co-chairman of the Group and founding managing partner of Pegasus Capital.
In 2018, he founded Hanyuan Asset, serving as its founding managing partner. He also serves as the Vice Chairman, Chief Investment Officer, and Chairman of the Investment Decision Committee of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Education Development Foundation. In addition, he serves as the Vice Director General of the Jiao Tong University Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Association and Vice President of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Alumni Association. He received the “Outstanding Alumni Siyuan Contribution Memorial Award” from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2016 and 2017.
