Member of the Macao Science and Technology Council and the Macao Talent Development Committee, founder and CEO of Pachira (International) Technology Co., Ltd., holder of dual master’s degrees in computer science from Peking University and Syracuse University. With a career foundational background at HP and Aruba Networks in Silicon Valley, Ho Kuok Tou has been deeply engaged in AI voice technologies and large language models. He also holds dozens of AI-related patents and software copyrights.
In 2009, he founded Pachira Technology in Silicon Valley. Notably, in 2018, his “AI Automotive Brain” clinched the top prize in the Hengqin Scientific and Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, securing a grant of RMB 100 million. Subsequently, his company established a presence in Hengqin and Macao. As a pioneer in Macao’s AI industry and a representative of the local technology sector, he has actively promoted the Macao-Hengqin integrated business environment at international exhibitions, successfully enticing international companies such as Allianz, Speechmatics, and Supermicro to visit Macao.
Leveraging insights from Silicon Valley and experiences from Macao and Hengqin, Ho Kuok Tou establishes precise connections with global resources. Using his own case as a testament, he showcases the policy benefits of Macao and Hengqin, facilitating the attraction of AI and high-end manufacturing companies to establish a presence in these two regions. These efforts aim to foster industrial synergy and gather talent, contributing to Macao’s economic diversification.
