Renee is the Managing Director of Gobi Partners, and the DEI & Environment Lead in the ESG Task Force. Gobi Partners is a 24+ years global venture capital firm. It is one of the first venture investor to operate in North Asia, South Asia and ASEAN. Gobi Partners is one of the most active investors across Greater Bay Area since 2016. Renee was brought into support setting up the mainland offices for the GBA when Gobi decided to double down the GBA. She also participates in the ESG Task Force and is responsible for initiating and promoting more DEI and sustainable development related collaborations. She also actively initiates and participates in activities related to women leadership, empowerment, entrepreneurship, and investment. Renee has more than 16 years of experience in business management and operations, 12 years in Venture Capital. Renee was previously the Managing Partner of Brinc China - a global VC and Accelerator, focusing on seed stage investments in IoT, Healthcare, Smart Manufacturing, AI and FoodTech, for helping them to accelerate the market validation and 0-100 stage. In addition, she and her team has helped over 100 overseas startups connect with the Greater Bay Area for supply chain or expanding into the China market. She also built out strategic partnership with other ecosystem players, including the government, corporates, research institutes and co-investors to foster the startup ecosystems and provide value add to startups.
