Cindy Lau is currently the President of Macau Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Vice Director General of the Taxation Association of Macau, and the Director of the Union of Associations of Professional Accountants of Macau. She is also a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers Macau and serves as the Head of Tax and Business Consulting Services in Macao. She has many years of experience in consulting, accounting, auditing, and taxation.
Cindy Lau has participated in countless tax projects, including tax investigations, cross-border tax planning, due diligence, and consulting services related to mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and BEPS and BEPS 2.0 projects. She not only delivers tax filing services to multi-national corporations and local clients, but also offers professional advice on tax matters related to investments within and outside Macao, assisting clients in resolving cross-border tax issues and accumulating a wealth of international tax expertise. In recent years, her clients have been involved in cross-border investment, cross-border transactions, and workforce mobility in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Through close interaction with her clients, Ms. Lau has gained a deep understanding of the issues and concerns that investors face within the region.
