Aglaia Kong Chio Fai is the founder and CEO of Guangdong LeapFive Technology Co., Ltd., and holds the honorary doctorate degrees from the University of Macau and the Macao Polytechnic University.
Dr. Kong boasts over three decades of expertise in scientific research and business management in Silicon Valley. A pioneer at the forefront of technology, she has accumulated a wealth of IT knowledge. With a portfolio of more than 20 patents, she is the inventor and patent holder of GPS/GIS navigation technology globally. Dr. Kong has previously served as CTO of Google Cloud; CTO and Vice President of Global Networking and IoT Departments at Cisco; and Fellow, CTO, and Vice President at Symantec.
After returning to China in 2018, Dr. Kong founded LeapFive Technology, focusing on developing cutting-edge technologies for high-performance RISC-V chips. She initiated the formation of the RDSA Industry Alliance, the world’s first RISC-V-based DSA industry innovation co-operation organisation. Currently, Dr. Kong also serves as a member of Macao Science and Technology Council, a member of Macao Talent Development Committee, and a member of the Internal University Council of the University of Macau, actively promoting the appropriate diversification of Macao’s economy and the development of technological innovation. In 2024, she was awarded the “Medal of Professional Merit” by the Macao SAR Government.
