Collaboratively organised by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, the 2020 Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair (2020GMBPF) will be held at the Venetian Macao from 11 to 13 December. According to some local businesses that have participated in the event for many times, as well as those from Mainland China, their turnover has increased by 10% to 20% after the event, contributing a lot to business development.<\/p>\n

      Mr Sou, Managing Director of Estabelecimento de Comidas Medan, said his company is a time-honoured small and medium-sized enterprise in Macao. The company was not used to partaking in exhibitions before 2014, but it has decided to take part in the GMBPF since then to enhance its exposure. Every time it attends an exhibition, its business volume increases by almost 20% in the first month, which is a great help to the company.<\/p>\n

Confident in This Year\u2019s Sales<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Sou noted that many exhibitors from Mainland China have contacted his company in recent years. They showed much interest in the company\u2019s Southeast Asian food and hoped to introduce it to Mainland China\u2019s market, but the company had no plans to enter the Mainland\u2019s market for the time being. He believed many people will stay and spend money in Macao due to the pandemic, so his company will still partake in this year\u2019s GMBPF and is confident in its sales.<\/p>\n

Ms Chan, Deputy Manager of Macao Tea Story Limited, mentioned that the main purpose of her company is to increase its exposure through the GMBPF. Its participation in the Fair yielded amazing results in the past few years. Many local residents chose to buy the company\u2019s products at stores after getting to know them at the GMBPF, and some hotels inquired about the supply of products during the Fair. Her company will also continue to exhibit at this year\u2019s GMBPF.<\/p>\n

GMBPF Helps Companies Expand Overseas Business<\/strong><\/p>\n

Flavosource Foodstuff Co., Ltd. from Zhaoqing, Guangdong has participated in the GMBPF for five times. Mr Ye from the company remarked that its business performance improved by about 10% as a result of the Fair. Distributors from countries along the \u201cBelt and Road\u201d, Portuguese-speaking countries and Macao are all gathered at the Fair, which is beneficial for the company to expand its overseas business.<\/p>\n
