The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) has just launched a \u201cBusiness Opportunities Corner\u201d as part of its \u201cOnline Business Matching Service Platform\u201d (http:\/\/bm.ipim.gov.mo<\/a>), with the system now providing round-the-clock business-matching services for companies. The \u201cBusiness Opportunities Corner\u201d aims to contribute to the promotion of Macao\u2019s role as a co-operation platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, and help businesses capture new opportunities arising from the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.<\/p>\n

The new \u201cBusiness Opportunities Corner\u201d features three subsections, organised by topic and geographic area of coverage. The subsections are: \u201cGuangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Co-operation Database\u201d; \u201cInvestment Projects in Portuguese-speaking Countries\u201d; and \u201cTrade and Investment Projects\u201d. users can select at any time the subsection that best fits their respective projects and business development needs. IPIM will follow up accordingly on business-matching requests and assist with the relevant appointment booking details, liaising with the parties involved in order to help promote business co-operation and exchanges.<\/p>\n

Since the launch of the \u201cOnline Business Matching Service Platform\u201d in 2016, IPIM has successfully arranged more than 2,300 business-matching sessions, in events either organised or coordinated by the Institute. The platform aims to provide \u2013 on a self-service basis \u2013 business-matching services for companies at home and abroad, assisting firms in exploring new business opportunities, and in fostering business co-operation and exchanges.<\/p>\n

Upon completing the one-time registration process, users can log in to their respective \u201cOnline Business Matching Service Platform\u201d account to enrol in business-matching activities organised by IPIM. In addition, companies can also use the platform to: advertise their projects; look for and select business projects on which they might potentially co-operate; and match with potential business partners. The platform offers automated scheduling tools for business matching, and users can use it to check preliminary meeting schedules, and receive notifications related to business-matching meetings.\u00a0IPIM will continue to pay close attention to new developments and collect users\u2019 opinions and feedback , in order to continuously optimise its \u201cOnline Business Matching Service Platform\u201d.
