IPIM Organises Macao Commercial Delegates to Join the “Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2021”

IPIM led a Macao commercial delegation to join the “Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2021” in Hainan from 18 to 21 April. The delegation participated in the Opening Ceremony and various conferences of the event, including the “SME’s Road to Survival”, “Building up ‘New Infrastructure’ with Digital Silk Road”, “Safeguard Global Food Security”, “Invigorate Development through Vibrant City Clusters: The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as a Model”, as well as the “Macao – ZhuHai Global Investment Promotion Luncheon”.

The “Macao – ZhuHai Global Investment Promotion Session” was collaboratively organised by the People’s Government of Zhuhai Municipality and the Secretariat for Economy and Finance of the Macao Special Administrative Region. Secretary for Economy and Finance Lei Wai Nong delivered a speech at the event. In addition, President of IPIM Benson Lau Wai Meng, representative of Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Hengqin New Area introduced the investment environment of Macao and Zhuhai.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Boao Forum and the commencement of the 14th Five-year Plan of the country. This year’s Forum adopted the theme “A World in Change: Join Hands to Strengthen Global Governance and Advance Belt and Road Co-operation”. More than 2,600 representatives and academics from the political, commercial and industrial sectors from over 60 countries took part in this year’s Annual Conference.
