Macau Chain Stores and Franchise Association visits IPIM

On 15 April, Representatives of Macau Chain Stores and Franchise Association (hereafter referred to as “the Association”) led by Mr Wong Ian Man, the President and Mrs Wu Xue Qi, Chairwoman of Macau Chain Stores and Franchise Association, visited IPIM and met with Mr Sam C. S. Lei, Executive Director of IPIM. Meanwhile, the Association introduced the current progress of the “Macao Classic Brand Support Programme” and the two sides also exchanged opinions on relevant work, hoping to promote the Class Brands through conventions and exhibitions.

During the meeting, President Wong Ian Man said that since its establishment in 2009, the Association has been insisting on serving the whole Macao society as its mission. In order to further implement “Five-year Development Plan of the Macao Special Administration Region (2016-2020)”, to support Macao time-honoured brands in rebranding, to support Macao local businesses and brands which established over 40 years ago to transform into modern brands, the Association evaluated and selected the first batch of 12 “Macao Classic Brands” in early 2019 under the support of Macao Economic Bureau (DSE). The programme aims to help classic Macao brands inherit the tradition and operate innovatively, and it has attracted attention from all sectors of society. At the same time, the Association is also committed to promoting Macao classic brands to the local citizens and visitors to expand business opportunities.

Other visiting representatives of Macau Chain Stores and Franchise Association included Mr Lei Chi U, Vice Chairman, Mr Lam Weng In, board member, as well as Ms Leong Miu Teng and Ms Lau Mung Un, Secretary.
