Macao Entrepreneur Delegation Participates in the 12th China (Henan) International Investment & Trade Fair

At the invitation of the Henan Provincial Commerce Department, IPIM organised a Macao entrepreneur delegation to participate in the 12th China (Henan) International Investment & Trade Fair in Henan from 16 to 18 April. The delegation aimed at promoting trade and economic co-operation and development between Portuguese-speaking Countries (PSCs), Henan and Macao.

During the visit, the Macao entrepreneur delegation visited the Zhengzhou World Wine International Trade Centre in the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone (Zhengzhou Xinzheng Comprehensive Bonded Zone), and also visited Henan Province Construction Group Co Ltd.

The delegation also participated in the “Macao-Henan – Promotion Seminar on Business Opportunities Arising from the Commercial and Trade Co-operation Service Platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries” which co-organised by IPIM and Henan Provincial Commerce Department. The event was attended by more than 150 representatives and entrepreneurs from Zhengzhou city, Henan Province, as well as PSCs business associations and enterprisers.

During the promotion seminar, Vice Governor of Henan Province Dai Bohua and IPIM’s President Jackson Chang gave speeches respectively. Senior Manager of IPIM’s Lusophone Markets Economic and Trade Promotion Department António Lei gave a detailed introduction on Macao’s role as the Commercial and Trade Co-operation Service Platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, the strategic position and services of the Three Centres (a commercial and trade service centre for small and medium entrrprises (SMEs) between China and PSCs, a food product distribution centre for PSCs, a centre for conventions and exhibitions for economic and trade co-operation between China and PSCs). Deputy General Manager of China-Portuguese Speaking Countries Investment Management Company Limited Li Na also briefed the participants on the status of the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Co-operation and Development Fund. Other speakers of the event included the President of Macau Henan Commerce Association Teng Kim, who introduced recent development of Macao’s trade and investment as well as Henan business associations in Macao, and the representative of the Association of Sino-Portuguese Youth Entrepreneur Carlos Miguel Santos Cordeiro, who introduced investment projects to the attendees. Various enterprises were also invited to promote featured projects during the promotional session.
