Opening ceremony of Business-matching Sessions on Food Products from PSCs – Fuzhou

The Business-matching Sessions on Food Products from Portuguese-speaking Countries (PSCs) – Fuzhou series activities, hosted by IPIM, Department of Commerce of Fujian Province, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the Fujian Provincial People’s Government and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Fujian Sub-Council, and co-organised by various Macao business associations, were successfully held from 18 to 22 May.

During the opening ceremony, IPIM’s President Jackson Chang said that in order to expedite the development of the Three Centers under the Commercial and Trade Co-operation Service Platform between China and PSCs, as assigned by the Central Government, IPIM will continue to organise a series of promotion activities on the Mainland. This event was the first one to be organised in conjunction with Dynamic Macao Business and Trade Fair and held in Fuzhou to give play to the synergy effects.

Seventeen Macao and PSCs enterprises were invited to participate in the five-day series activities to promote their products such as wine, coffee, snacks, canned food, honey, fruit juice and body lotion. The event was well-received by the general public who came and made purchases, and it attracted a total of 44,000 visitors over the five-day period. The business matching sessions were participated by more than 100 buyers and onsite professional business discussions and matching sessions were also held.
