[2024-09-30] Total Airlines wants to buy modern Chinese C919 jet

According to Reuters, Total Airlines could become the first Western customer for the Chinese COMAC C919 business jet.

Paula Almada, the company’s represemtative, said that Total Airlines had been in discussions with the Chinese company COMAC for months and planned to order up to four aircraft of the model. He will visit COMAC’s facilities in October to discuss the potential order.

The Brazilian government sees the possible deal as a milestone that could reopen the Chinese market for aircrafts from Brazilian companies.
