Sinotrans Angola has invested over US$30 million in Angola over the last 11 years, the assistant director-general of the subsidiary of Sinotrans Changhang said in Lobito, Benguela province on Friday.

Tchum Long Ning, who was speaking at a ceremony to deliver 60 wagons of a total order of 300 ordered by Benguela railway management company CFM, said the company had recorded significant growth since it was set up in Angola, in 2008.

The Chinese official noted that Sinotrans had been a State partner in the construction of the urban centres of Kilamba and Sequele and others throughout the country, and had worked on import and transport logistics for products from China to carry out those projects, according to Angolan news agency Angop.

He also said that investment cooperation between Sinotrans and CFM would be raised to the level of benchmark model in terms of public-private partnerships in Angola.
