Construction of Huambo province’s Integrated Technology Training Centre (Cinfotec) begins in January 2020, the technical support unit for project implementation said on Thursday in the city of Huambo.

Manuel Pimentel, who was speaking at the end of a meeting between the provincial governor, Joana Lina, with the Secretary of State for Labour and Social Security, Manuel de Jesus Moreira, added that this venture has a donation from the government of China of US$28 million.

The official said that the construction works of the project, the third in the country after the two built in Luanda, will be carried out on the outskirts of Huambo city and will take two years, and the approved budget includes training for trainers.

Manuel Pimentel, quoted by the Angop news agency, said that the facility will have classrooms, 28 laboratories and six workshops, where theoretical and practical classes will be taught for professional courses in Mechanics and Production, Information Technologies, Meteorology, Electro-medicine, Electricity and Mechatronics.

Three technical teams from China were recently on site to set up the necessary conditions for work to begin and be completed on time.
