[2019-09-09] Mozambican companies invited to submit proposals for goods and services to ENI group

Mozambican companies interested in providing goods and services to the subsidiary of the Italian group ENI have to submit their proposals by 24 September, according to recently released announcements.

ENI Mozambico on Friday announced a number of expressions of interest for hiring a variety of services for its hydrocarbon extraction operations in Area A5-A of the Angoche basin.

Italian group ENI said that the closing date for the submission of bids is due to the fact that the drilling of the first natural gas extraction well should begin in the first quarter of 2021.

Daily newspaper O País reported that the goods and services to be purchased by the Italian group’s subsidiary include casing and connecting pipes and their installation, cement, directional drilling, drill bits and helicopter air services.

The subsidiary of US company ExxonMobil, an ENI group partner in the Area 4 block, intends to hire companies that can provide fixed-wing and light-duty passenger transport services.

These services will be required between Johannesburg (South Africa) and Maputo, connecting to Beira (central Mozambique), Nacala, Nampula, Pemba and other airports in northern province of Cabo Delgado.
