Studies and analyses about China and its relationship with Brazil are the basis of a recent scientific and academic cooperation agreement between the Brazil-China Studies Centre of the Rio de Janeiro Law School of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation and the Brazil-China Business Council, the Brazilian press has reported.

The agreement focuses on the study of China’s legal issues and the Brazil-China relationship, including the size of state and Communist party enterprises and institutions.

The partnership between the Getúlio Vargas Foundation and the Brazil-China Business Council aims, among other activities, to organise working groups to analyse legal disputes in Brazil-China relations and study the Chinese legal system and legal culture, as well as the publication of joint books, articles and reports, alongside seminars and lectures.

The Brazil-China Business Council, founded in 2004, is a bilateral non-profit institution including two independent sections, one in Brazil and the other in China, focused on promoting dialogue between companies from both countries.

The CEBC was officially recognised in the Joint Action Plan signed between Brazil and China in 2015 as the main touchstone between the two governments to promote business relations between the two countries.
