CE: Hengqin key to Macao’s further integration into national development
On 20 April, the Chief Executive, Mr Ho Iat Seng, said Hengqin island in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, would be a prominent platform for Macao to play an active part in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area; while Macao further integrated in general terms into the national development effort.
Mr Ho has shared his insights at the Legislative Assembly when he delivered the Policy Address for the Fiscal Year 2020.
The Policy Address has a chapter dedicated to Macao’s effort on integrating into national development and the fostering of local economic diversification.
The Chief Executive also outlined initiatives in the Policy Address regarding how to enhance Macao’s positions and functions in the country’s economic development and the country’s work on opening up.

Innovative low-fat dessert
LemonCello Gelato Ltd. Company (Macao) was founded in 2007. It mainly produces and sells Italian-style hand-made ice cream. In addition, it also launches other products such as "ice cream cakes" and "ice cream mooncakes" to meet market needs. All ice creams are made in Macao. At present there are 5 stores offering fresh handmade ice cream for local customers and visitors.

Facilitation Services for Commercial Registration in Nine Cities of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area
In order to encourage Macao enterprises to invest in cities in the Greater Bay Area by optimising the commercial registration procedures of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for Macao enterprises, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) inked an co-operation agreement with the Guangdong Market Supervision & Administration Bureau to roll out the Facilitation Services for Commercial Registration in Nine Cities of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which assist Macao enterprises and citizens in completing commercial registration for investing or starting up business in the nine Mainland cities of the Greater Bay Area, namely Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing.

Online Business Matching Service Platform
Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute’s (IPIM) brand new Online Business Matching Service Platform is now available for local and overseas entrepreneurs to enjoy self-service business matching and expand their markets.
Through this open-source platform, registered users will be able to participate in the business matching sessions in the exhibitions and events organised by IPIM. Furthermore, users will be able to advertise or search for collaboration projects, screen for preferable projects, and pre-arrange meetings with interested parties and generate a preliminary meetings schedule.

Hong Kin Food Factory

Hong Kin Food Factory was established by Macao Hong Kin Food Limited. They focus on the production and processing of fruit juice concentrates, vegetable juice concentrates and seasonings. Their targeted clients include food wholesalers from mainland China and Hong Kong. With the assistance of Investor “One Stop Service”, the investor set up Macao Hong Kin Food Limited in 2017. In November 2018, with the co-ordination of the cross-departmental co-operation mechanism of the “Investment Committee” and Investor “One Stop Service”, Hong Kin Food Factory which covers an area of 233 m2 successfully obtained the industrial license issued by Macao Economic Services. In August 2019, the investor successfully obtained the certificate of origin and import a batch of vegetable juice concentrates to a wholesaler in mainland China through CEPA with zero tariff.
